Mid to Senior Level Interior Designer
Due to companywide expansion, Vicello Kitchens is looking for a full-time mid to senior level interior designer. The ideal candidate will have 5 – 8 years’ experience in the industry with a focus on kitchen and joinery design and manufacture. The successful candidate will progress to a brand-new Sydney based studio after a 3-month training period at our current Western Sydney studio.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Representing Vicello’s brand to potential clients
- Providing extensive interior design knowledge in the kitchen joinery field to potential clients
- Preparing 3D renders, floorplans and elevations using specific CAD software’s
- Keeping up to date on the latest design trends focused on kitchens and joinery
- Providing clients with innovative and creative designs based on their requirements, budgets and overall aesthetics
- Keeping strong documentation for all jobs
- Ability to provide design solutions and alternatives to potential clients
- Presenting quotations and design concepts to potential clients
- Onsite problem-solving skills / ability to forward think
- Knowledge of the construction industry and processes
- Leading consultations and project managing consultations after initial meeting
- Self-manage a busy day-to-day workload
Following skills are required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the kitchen and joinery interior design field.
- Proven experience in joinery design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Extensive knowledge of CAD software’s such as Sketchup (must) and Revit.
- Ability to interpret design, architectural plans and construction methods.
- Extensive joinery specific knowledge of manufacturing processes and materiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead consultations
- A strong and evident passion for interiors in the joinery field.

Estimator
Vicello Kitchens is looking for a full-time Estimator to join our team in this newly created role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately pricing potential jobs for the submission of quotes for our busy design team. The role is not a design role. The ideal candidate will have experience in an Estimating role within the residential joinery / construction industry or on-the-tools industry experience in joinery.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Ability to interpret design, architectural plans and construction methods to provide accurate pricing
- Cross referencing pricing and preparing quotation proposals and variations for potential clients
- Ensuring tender deadlines are met
- Assisting the design team for the preparation of quotes to meet deadlines
- Providing cost saving alternatives and suggestions
- Liaising with suppliers and keeping up to date with any industry change reforms / price increases on products
- Maintaining communication with current suppliers and representatives
- Ability to self-manage a busy day-to-day workload
Following skills are required:
- High computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft office suite including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and high problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret design, architectural plans and construction methods
- Experience in Estimating within the residential joinery industry considered a high advantage
- Experience in the manufacturing / production within the residential joinery industry considered a high advantage
- Australian citizenship and full Australian working rights required

Joinery Design Consultant
Vicello Kitchens is looking for a full-time Joinery Design Consultant to join our team due to business expansion, based in our South West Sydney office / showroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing visually, creating detailed plans, sourcing materials and managing multiple projects at once with a focus on customer satisfaction.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Designing items of joinery to suit clients’ specifications, budgets and creating visually stimulating and functional layouts and designs
- Establishing and maintaining client relationships / running consultations with clients
- Engaging with potential clients and selling our products / services / new business sales
- Drafting designs, quotations and preparing all necessary documentation for projects.
- Reading and interpreting architectural plans for production
- Attending site checks and measures for projects
- Ability to meet project and team deadlines
- Product knowledge and commitment to stay current on industry trends, kitchen design innovations, and preservation of the environment.
- Ability to meet sales quotas / targets
Necessary Requirements:
- A completed Bachelor’s degree or certification in Interior Design / Architecture
- Previous experience within the kitchen or joinery realm considered an advantage
- Knowledge of visual and spatial acuity and technical drafting skills
- Proficiency in SketchUp software and CAD software. Experience with CAB Master highly desirable
- Ability to manage individual workload to meet deadlines
- Australian citizenship and full Australian working rights required

Draftsperson- Cab Master Software
Vicello Kitchens is looking for a full-time experienced CAD drawer to join our growing team due to business expansion, based in our South West Sydney office / showroom. The successful candidate will become part of a fresh and innovative team with a common goal of producing quality joinery and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Drawing on CabMaster software for production
- Producing shop drawings for client presentation & sign off
- Amending drawings as per site measure notes and appliance specs
- Reading and interpreting architectural plans for production
- Liaising between departments of the company
- Perform all file conversion and nesting functions for CNC
- Prepare production file for manufacture
- Ordering of hardware and materials from suppliers
- Stock ordering and stock control systems / managing stock intake
Necessary Requirements:
- Proficient in CabMaster software
- Minimum 2 years drawing experience
- Knowledge of the Australian manufacturing standards and protocols
- Ability to self-manage workload
- Previous cabinet making and joinery experience an advantage
- Familiar with industry products and materials an advantage
- Australian citizenship and full Australian working rights required
